Get Moving with Walking Trails@CDC: A Fun Way to Explore Singapore!

Hey there, Singaporeans! Ready to shake up your usual walks and turn them into a fun adventure? The five Community Development Councils (CDCs) teamed up with GovTech Singapore to launch Walking Trails@CDC, a super cool programme that mixes exercise, exploration, and a bit of digital fun. It kicked off on 16 August 2025 at Assumption Pathway School, with big names like Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs, and the five CDC mayors cheering it on.

What’s Walking Trails@CDC All About?

This isn’t just a walk in the park—it’s a “phygital” (physical + digital) experience that makes staying active feel like a game. Think of it as a treasure hunt across Singapore’s five districts, where you’ll visit cool spots like Bukit Timah Railway Station, Little Guilin, Fort Canning Centre, East Coast Beach, and Punggol Promenade Bridge. Each trail is packed with culture, history, and greenery, perfect for discovering hidden gems in your neighbourhood.

It’s all part of the Healthier SG initiative to keep us moving and build stronger communities. Whether you’re walking with family, friends, or even your brisk walking club, it’s a great way to bond and stay healthy. Mdm Sharon Koh and her son Sean, who love their weekly walks, are already hyped to share this with their crew!

Meet Your New Trail Buddies: The CDC Ollies!

To make things extra fun, you’ll be joined by the CDC Ollies—five adorable digital mascots, each representing a CDC pillar:

  • Trailblazer Ollie (Caring)
  • Social Ollie (Learning)
  • Carefree Ollie (Inclusive)
  • Wellness Ollie (Healthy)
  • Chic-Eco Ollie (Sustainable)

These little guys pop up as you explore, making the trails more interactive and tying you closer to the community vibes the CDCs are all about. Collect all five Ollies in the Side Quest, and you’ll unlock some sweet rewards!

Score Rewards While You Walk

Who doesn’t love a good deal? Complete a trail’s five checkpoints or collect all five CDC Ollies, and the first 5,000 participants per trail can snag a $5 RedeemSG Rewards voucher—up to $10 per trail! Use them at participating supermarkets to treat yourself after all that walking.

Why It’s More Than Just a Walk

As we celebrate SG60, Walking Trails@CDC is all about bringing people together. It’s a chance to connect with friends, family, or even new pals while exploring Singapore’s rich heritage and green spaces. The CDCs are also open to feedback, so they might add more trails if we love it!
