Tim Hortons Singapore Achieves Full MUIS Halal Certification: A Welcoming Milestone for Ramadan and Beyond

Tim Hortons Singapore has reached an important milestone. The popular Canadian coffee chain now holds official Halal certification from the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) across all its 17 outlets islandwide. This announcement, shared in late February 2026, comes at a perfect moment, just ahead of the Ramadan season and the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr celebrations.

The MUIS Halal mark represents a globally respected standard for assurance in Halal compliance. For Tim Hortons, this step reinforces its long-standing goal of welcoming everyone to enjoy its menu. Since first opening in Singapore in late 2023, the brand has built a reputation as a cozy neighbourhood spot for coffee lovers, families, and friends from all backgrounds. Now, with full certification in place, the entire range of signature items becomes fully accessible to the Muslim community, creating more opportunities for shared moments during festive times.

Singapore’s multicultural society thrives on food that connects people. Dining here often goes beyond satisfying hunger, it builds bridges across cultures and traditions. By earning this certification, Tim Hortons strengthens its role as an inclusive space where guests can relax with complete confidence. The brand highlights how Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr focus on reflection, gratitude, and community sharing. Having the Halal seal allows Tim Hortons to join in these meaningful traditions, whether as a comfortable place for Iftar meals or a spot to enjoy treats during family visits and Hari Raya gatherings.

The certified menu offers plenty of choices for festive occasions and everyday enjoyment. Guests can look forward to hearty options like the Signature Grilled Sandwiches, including favourites such as Pesto Chicken and Montreal Beef Pastrami, ideal for breaking the fast with something warm and filling.

For sweet highlights, the world-famous Timbits and Assorted Donut boxes stand out as shareable delights, perfect for family tables, gifts, or communal Iftar spreads during the Hari Raya season.

Beverage lovers have access to 100% Premium Arabica coffee selections, from the classic Maple Cinnamon Latte and Montreal Latte to Iced Capp® Frappe drinks, espresso-based lattes, and refreshing non-caffeinated options, all prepared following strict Halal guidelines.

The savoury side includes made-to-order sandwiches, bagels, and fresh bakes, ensuring variety for any time of day.

Achieving this certification required a thorough audit of the entire operation. Tim Hortons underwent detailed checks on its supply chain, ingredient sourcing, and kitchen processes to align with MUIS standards while maintaining its global quality reputation.

Looking ahead, this milestone supports the brand’s ongoing expansion in Singapore. With 17 stores currently operating under the management of MGCA Cafe, a subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation, Tim Hortons plans to open more locations across the island. The certification serves as a foundation for future outlets, keeping the signature “Tims” experience open to all Singaporeans.
