foodpanda Upsizes Grocery Delivery with New pandamart XL Stores and Kiasu Pasar Report
In a move to cater to Singapore’s evolving shopping habits, foodpanda has rolled out two new upsized pandamart stores, dubbed pandamart XLs, in Kallang and Yio Chu Kang. These larger facilities aim to support bigger grocery runs by offering a wider selection of products and ensuring reliable stock of everyday essentials. This launch comes alongside the release of the platform’s inaugural Kiasu Pasar Report, which sheds light on how Singaporeans are embracing quick-commerce for smarter, healthier purchasing decisions.
The press release highlights a noticeable shift in consumer behavior. Since 2023, there’s been a 7% rise in monthly grocery order frequency on foodpanda, coupled with an 8% increase in the average number of items per order from 2024 to 2025. Shoppers are moving away from impulsive buys toward planned pantry restocks, reflecting a preference for convenience without compromising on value.
“Across Singapore, we’re seeing our customers shop more intentionally. They’re planning better, spending smarter, and stocking up in a single go. pandamart XLs are precisely built for this reason; to offer our customers more products, better value for their money, and with the same convenience they love,” said Bhavani Mishra, Managing Director of foodpanda Singapore.
Each pandamart XL boasts 30% more products than standard stores, including staples, snacks, ready-to-eat meals, household items, imported specialties, and local favorites. Deliveries arrive within an hour, making it easier for users to handle larger orders. The new locations build on a successful 2025 pilot in Redhill, with foodpanda now operating three XL stores island-wide. Inventory is tailored using hyperlocal data to match neighborhood needs.

The Kiasu Pasar Report dives deeper into these trends, revealing how quick-commerce is becoming integral to daily life. Key findings include:

- Planned Purchases Over Panic Buys: Orders are now part of routines for cooking, restocking, and essentials, rather than just emergencies.
- Value-Driven Choices: Half of all grocery orders feature housebrand items, while pandapro subscribers make 18% more quick-commerce orders and save 30% on average.
- Healthier Selections: Fresh produce is in 7 out of 10 orders, with rising demand for lean meats, organic options, and protein-rich foods.
- Time-Saving Habits: Purchases of frozen meals and condiments have surged 20%, as shoppers seek simpler cooking solutions.
- Global Flavors: Japanese and Korean products have seen a 20% uptick, indicating a taste for cultural variety.
“Quick-commerce has evolved beyond convenience; it’s now part of Singapore’s daily shopping rhythm,” noted Axelle Guibert, Director of Quick-Commerce at foodpanda Singapore. “With our new pandamart XLs, we’re delivering both speed and scale, giving shoppers more choice and better value, all closer to home.”
To mark Chinese New Year, foodpanda is offering up to 58% off on festive essentials and treats from January 19 to February 22, including weekly HUAT deals. This aligns with the report’s emphasis on intentional shopping during peak seasons.
As quick-commerce grows, foodpanda continues to innovate, blending technology with local insights to redefine grocery delivery in Singapore.
