Singapore’s LaunchPad Just Got a Whole New Vibe: Global Access, Flexible Spaces, and a Fresh Look
If you’re building something at LaunchPad @ one-north, things are about to get a whole lot more interesting. JTC just pulled back the curtain on a major refresh, and honestly? It’s packed with the kind of moves that make you want to high-five your co-founder.
First off, the global play. LaunchPad startups now get access to a network stretching across 19 international startup nodes. Think Paris, San Francisco, Shenzhen, Tokyo, Jakarta. Through new partnerships with NUS Enterprise and INSEAD, founders can tap into co-working spaces overseas, get soft-landing support, and even snag introductions to local investors and customers before fully committing to a new market. It’s basically a shortcut to going global without the usual guesswork.
But it’s not just about flying far. JTC also teamed up with One&Co, so you can now work out of a space right in the CBD. Perfect for those days when you’ve got back-to-back investor meetings and don’t want to trek all the way back to one-north.
Closer to the ecosystem, the LINK network is expanding its mission. It’s no longer just about funding; it’s about connecting you with corporates and strategic partners who can help you commercialize and scale. New names like CapitalLand Development, CDL, Esri Singapore, and SoftBank Robotics just joined the lineup, opening doors for pilots and real-world adoption.
On the policy side, JTC is making life easier. New startups get up to two months rent-free for fitting out, plus more flexible leases and shorter notice periods. And the entry criteria? Now open to scale-ups too. So whether you’re just getting started or already growing fast, there’s a place for you.
And let’s talk spaces. The Meeting Point just reopened as a dedicated co-working and event space designed for networking and investor meetups. More upgrades are coming: better sheltered walkways, new sports facilities, upgraded toilets, and more food options. Plus, Kampong Al is on the horizon, set to be Singapore’s first integrated startup community with work, play, and living spaces all in one spot by 2028.
Bottom line: LaunchPad is shaping up to be Asia’s flagship startup destination, and it’s looking like a pretty exciting place to call home base.
